Advanced Sailing 202

202: Advanced Sailing

Advanced Sailing 202 offers three important benefits to our sailors contained within 16-hours of on-the-water training. First, it polishes your basic sailing skills, teaching you skills that you will need to sail anywhere in the country. Our certified instructors build upon your Basic Sailing 101 coursework quickly and effectively, reinforcing your newly acquired sailing confidence. Second, you will transfer your small boat handling skills to our larger 30 foot cruising vessels and learn how to handle an inboard motor. The third goal of this course is completing US Sailing’s Basic Keelboat certification process. Combined with Basic Sailing 101, this course fills the requisite number of hours for certification, and students sit the written certification exam at the conclusion of the class. With a US Sailing certification to validate your sailing skills, you’ll be welcomed as a sailor around the world.
